Seedsman first opened its doors way back in 2003 and over the last decade have solidified their reputation as one of the most trustworthy seed banks out there. Based out of Barcelona, they have a significant presence in the UK as well.
Seedsman claims to be cannabis genetics experts, And their website also tells us that they are on a mission to preserve cannabis genetics studies, so we can have a diverse pool of strains in the future when cannabis finally gets regulated.
What really earns them a load of points in my book, is that they spend a considerable amount of revenue in lobbying for cannabis regulation in the UK. They are a regular presence in various talk shows, conferences, and news events and try to do their utmost to get the sale of cannabis legalized in the UK.
Reading up on this impressed me a lot and I thought, if they take themselves this seriously, they are definitely worth a shot.
My experience with Seedsman
It’s a mystery to me that there are so many states in the US which have legalized recreational cannabis use, yet all the best seed banks are based in Europe!
Good thing for me, most of them ship to the US. However, that is a risky deal, and I was very interested in how Seedsman matches up to the task.
I can’t exactly vouch for your experience, so I’ll be rating the seeds and the company based on my experience.
Quality (8/10)
Personally, my seeds germinated just fine, and I didn’t face any problems whatsoever. I have to admit I was a little scared, as Seedsman does not provide a guarantee on seeds which fail to germinate.
If you live in a country where the sale of cannabis seeds is entirely legal, in their own words, Seedsman says, “they will endeavor to resolve the issue.” This probably means exactly what it sounds like. So in short, there are no guarantees.
I don’t think you’ll need a guarantee though, especially if you’re buying Seedman’s own strains. They stock seeds made by other manufacturers as well and thus, Seedsman can’t vouch for the quality of anybody other than themselves. You’ll have to check out reviews of those individual manufacturers.
The Seedsman strains themselves, have superior genetics and make for a full-fledged, healthy and robust plant once they start growing.

This is where I was truly blown away by the Seedsman website. I like to know about what I’m buying and what other people have to say about that seed type.
All the separate categories of seeds are meticulously listed out, and the navigation is so easy, that you can find your way to the type of seed you want in no time.
Once you’re there, you can sort the seeds by various filters such as THC content, CBD content, breed, yield, taste, and flavor, flowering time, etc.
Once you’ve selected the exact seed you’re interested in, you get a whole bucket load of info about that seed, along with vital stats, a gallery of photos, and reviews of that particular seed.
Types Of Strains Available (10/10)
I am a pretty ‘picky boy’ about what I buy, and I usually buy the same strain every time, no matter the website. It’s a pretty common strain, and I can usually find it anywhere.
However, if you have a medical condition or you want to buy a particular type of seed because it has a specific kind of high, I think it’s pretty safe to say if you don’t find it here at Seedsman, you’d be hard pressed to find it anywhere else.
They have over 4000 different strains from more than 80 different breeders around the world, some of whom are very well recognized in their own right like Ministry Of Cannabis.
Whether you want to buy regular, feminized or auto-flowering seeds, Seedsman has got you covered. You can choose your strains according to cannabis- Indica Or Sativa, high or low THC, high or low CBD. Or you can select by strain type – kush or Haze or the ever popular Northern Lights.

Customer Service (6/10)
Honestly, I found that their Customer Service left a lot to be desired and I feel it can be improved. A whole lot!
They have support phone numbers for most countries, and I called them up only to find an answering machine. It’s pretty annoying how hard it is to get hold of a real human.
They are more responsive via email though and usually reply within 24 hours. The return policy is quite stringent at only 14 days. Pfft!
Seedsman has a whole host of details and FAQ questions in their support center. Apart from that, they have a very informative blog, which has articles on growing and cultivation and weed legalization news around the world.
While that’s all and good, I would much prefer to have an actual human on the phone with me whenever I call.
Payment Methods And Price (10/10)
Seedsman offers a bunch of payment choices like a credit card, bank transfer, money order, and check. They will list out the prices in your local currency to make things easier. I paid for my order with my Credit Card, and the whole process was pretty smooth and seamless.
If you want to do away with your paper trail totally, you can pay via cash mail orders or by the most secure choice possible – Bitcoin. If you pay by Bitcoin, you get a substantial discount as well as free seeds.
Most of Seedman’s seeds are very affordably priced, and they almost always have sales or discounts available. I found them to be a lot cheaper than most online seed banks.
Shipping And Discretion (8/10)
I was told to expect my product within 25 days, but it arrived after only 15 days. Your shipping costs depend on the location you’re at, and the size and weight of your order. Be on the lookout for promotions though! They usually have several Free Delivery promotions going on.
They take care to ensure that the seeds are shipped with complete discretion – you’ll find your seeds packed inside innocuous items like a DVD case, etc. The envelope will have only your name and address without any company logo or promotional text.
I hate that companies are forced to do this because of stupid government laws, but the fact is Seedsman does it really well.
